Freedom Aerial

Freedom Aerial was founded origionally in Andover, England in 2013. Created from a passion to teach the fun and enjoyment gained from aerial arts to children and beginners. Rachel has a dance and music background teaching ballet and dance to children of all ages. She started aerial silks in 2011 where she attended the Kelly Horne Aerial Silks school and developed a love for aerial silks. Lucy has a gymnastic background in trampolining so when she saw Rachel perform in a Christmas show in 2012 she also caught the aerial bug. Both Rachel and Lucy then attended Elevate Aerial Arts school taught by Siobhan Johnstone an International performer and amazing teacher. Together the love for aerial arts grew and eventually Freedom Aerial was born. Running holiday workshops for kids and teaching beginner silks and hoop to friends. Lucy then moved to California where Freedom Aerial was reborn Stateside. Here Lucy took classes at The Ruby Karen Project in Costa Mesa and then took thier teacher training program in May this year. Starting out again on her own was challenging but with great support Freedom Aerial has been building up a new community here in San Juan Capistrano. The new studio is fresh and fun, there are 3 rigging points plus ballet bars and wieghts. The school also offers Parent and Me classes for those starting out in aerial after having children.
